Challis Bower

I approach the counseling session with compassion, care, and a sense of hope, knowing that reaching out to a counselor is a strong step toward healing and health. I believe that a connection with God is an essential piece to living a fulfilled life; however, I respect each person in their beliefs and allow clients to lead with the decision to incorporate their faith.

My Story

I hold a Master’s Degree from Huntington University in Counseling. I specialize in working with those looking to process through various types of trauma. Some clients are processing single event trauma that cause symptoms of PTSD, and some are processing what is called little “t” trauma. Any event or ongoing situation that causes distress, fear, and a sense of helplessness may qualify as little “t” trauma. It can usually feel like something that is hard to “get past.” Many of my clients have experienced significant dysfunction in their family of origin and continue to wrestle with the consequences of that in their present life. I also work with those struggling with anxiety, grief, transitions, boundaries, spiritual or relational issues, and knowing how to integrate faith with their experience.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and eating any food that I didn’t cook.

I am an ENFJ on the Myers-Briggs and an Enneagram 8w7.

I am not accepting new clients at this time. My Hours: 10a-5p.  If you have any questions, please send an email to
