Gabbie McCaskill MS, LMHC-A

Life can bring challenges that leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about what comes next. Therapy can be a place to pause, gain perspective, discover your strengths, and begin creating meaningful change. My approach is grounded in the belief that you have the capacity to grow, make purposeful choices, and build a life that reflects what matters most to you.

Empowering You to Create Meaning, Build Strength, and Move Forward

I use an eclectic, person-centered approach to therapy, drawing from several evidence-informed perspectives to meet each individual where they are. My work incorporates elements of Viktor Frankl’s meaning-centered approach, William Glasser’s Choice Theory and Reality Therapy, Alfred Adler’s Individual Psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based techniques.

From Frankl, we explore meaning, purpose, and the ability to find hope even in difficult circumstances. From Glasser, we focus on personal choice, responsibility, relationships, and identifying the changes that can move you toward a more satisfying life. Adler’s approach helps us understand how your experiences, beliefs, relationships, and sense of belonging have shaped the way you see yourself and the world around you.

Cognitive behavioral and mindfulness techniques provide practical tools for recognizing unhelpful thought patterns, developing healthier perspectives, managing difficult emotions, and becoming more present in everyday life. Rather than simply focusing on what is wrong, we work together to identify what is possible.

I believe therapy is a collaborative process. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you can explore challenges honestly, develop insight, strengthen your skills, and move toward the person you want to become.

Whether you are facing a specific challenge or simply know that something needs to change, you do not have to navigate it alone. Change begins with a step—and therapy can be a meaningful place to take that first step.
